Alex Hernández Muro is a Peruvian psychologist, researcher, and Executive Director of Mas Igualdad Perú. With a Master’s in Neuropsychology and training in gender studies, she has led pioneering research on LGBTIQ+ mental health, including Peru’s first and second exploratory studies, and is the author of República de Invisibles, a landmark work on LGBTIQ+ citizenship in Peru. Alex currently serves as the Bisexual Committee Representative for ILGA LAC and participates in multiple international networks focused on human rights and movement-building. She also advises advocacy and research processes across sectors, strengthening evidence-based strategies for equality and institutional transformation. Her work bridges scientific rigor, community-centered practice, and regional activism.
