Christiana Gennata is a psychologist and psychotherapist, trained at the Hellenic Society of Analytical Group and Family Psychotherapy. She is a graduate of the postgraduate program “Victimization and Criminal Justice” at Tilburg University, as well as the Orlando LGBT+ training program on the basic principles of psychotherapy and counseling with LGBTQI+ people. For the last fourteen years, she has been actively involved in activism for the rights of LGBTQI+ people. Her research focuses on the provision of psychosocial support and empowerment for LGBTQI+ people (GATE, IDEAS, Resilience) & on trans people’s access to health care (FAROS, TransCare) as well as on queer relationships.Since 2021, she has been a scientific collaborator at the Psychological Support Line 11528 "By your side" for LGBTQI+ individuals, their families and educators. At the same time, she maintains her private office in Athens, where she provides psychotherapeutic support to individual cases, as well as to queer couples, relationships and families.
