Over de spreker
Michael Ighodaro is the President of Global Black Pride Paris 2026 and the Executive Director of Global Black Gay Men Connect (GBGMC), a global organization advancing health equity and human rights for Black gay men and other marginalized communities. With over a decade of experience in global advocacy, Michael works at the intersection of LGBTQIA+ rights, health policy, and transnational movement-building. His leadership spans Europe, Africa, and the Americas, where he has supported community-led organizations to strengthen governance engagement, expand access to HIV prevention and care, and elevate Global South and diaspora leadership within international policy spaces. As President of Global Black Pride Paris 2026, he is leading the development of a major international cultural and human rights convening designed to connect Black LGBTQIA+ communities across continents. His work focuses on positioning Pride platforms not only as celebrations of identity, but as strategic spaces for coalition-building, leadership cultivation, and long-term movement sustainability. Michael’s approach centers collaboration, structural equity, and the belief that global LGBTQIA+ progress requires coordinated, cross-border leadership grounded in lived experience.
