Gilbert Mitullah is a Nairobi-based advocate, strategist, and movement-builder working at the intersection of human rights, political participation, and democratic resilience across Africa and Asia. Gilbert is the Founder and Director of PRISM Lab, a political leadership accelerator focused on building pipelines for LGBTQI+ political participation in Africa and Asia, with a long-horizon vision targeting 2040 and 2050. He also serves on the boards of ORAM East Africa and the Queer African Network.  His work spans strategic litigation, opposition research, coalition strategy, and policy analysis. He has presented on these themes at international forums and contributes regularly to cross-movement strategy on resisting democratic backsliding. Gilbert holds an MSc from the University of Oxford and an LLB from the University of Nairobi. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
