Over de spreker
Karin Hazé is a Montreal-based filmmaker, curator, educator, activist, and fearless public speaker known for transforming mobile phones into tools of resistance. She works with artists living under oppressive regimes, helping them tell and share their stories with power, safety, and autonomy. Founder of 75 SHOTS Pocket Cinema, Karin has built a global network of underground filmmakers, from the Caribbean and Africa to Asia and beyond, who use cinema to defy censorship, celebrate joy, and reclaim their narratives. Her work has been presented at the United Nations, the World Social Forum, McCord Stewart Museum, numerous universities, and festivals worldwide. She has directed international film festivals and even holds a Guinness World Record for having watched the longest silent film, 42 hours! (yes, really).
