Josie, affectionately known as Jo, is an impassioned Associate Producer for 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture. Josie is also the co-host of the 1946 Culture Shift Tour Podcast, helping to lead season two’s conversations on faith, justice, and the global movement toward truth and healing. With a strong background in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and a lifelong commitment to social justice, Jo brings both heart and expertise to everything they do. Growing up in apartheid South Africa, Josie’s early experiences inspired a lifelong commitment to challenging injustice and standing up for human rights, the empowerment of marginalised communities, and the advancement of LGBTQ+ equality. Josie is also a Board Member for UK Black Pride, the organisation behind the world’s largest free Pride event celebrating LGBTQIA+ Black and people of colour communities. Previously, they served as a Board Member for the Kaleidoscope Trust, a charity working to advance the human rights of LGBTQ+ people globally.
