About the spreaker
I've been active in gay health care issues and AIDS policies in the 1980s and 1990s. In the 1990s I have worked as a professor of home HIV / AIDS care at the Academic Medical Centre in Amsterdam. Since 2016 I have joined the Amsterdam organisation for queer elderly and became chairman in 2022.  This organisation has 2000 members now. I'm also a member of Queer Force United, a network seeking ways to oppose hatred and misinformation aimed at queers.
