Rituparna Borah is a queer, disabled, indigenous feminist activist with over 20 years of experience advancing LGBTQIA+ rights in India and globally. She is the Co-founder and Director of Nazariya: A Queer Feminist Resource Group, where she leads work on community organising, research, and advocacy with queer women and trans persons.Rituparna was a co-petitioner in the Marriage Equality case before the Supreme Court of India as part of the National Network of LBQIT persons. She had served on advisory bodies including LBQ Connect (Outright Action International) and currently WE Connect programme of Outright Action Internation and Rainbow Lit Fest. She frequently contributes to dialogues on gender, sexuality, and human rights in national and international forums.Her work spans gender, sexuality, POSH, and DEI, and she has contributed curricula and learning materials for institutions such as IGNOU and NCERT. Her writing on LGBTQIA+ issues has appeared on national and international platforms. She was featured in the UN Free & Equal Campaign (2022) as a veteran LGBT and human rights defender.
