About the spreaker
Brand Berghouwer is a psychosocial therapist based in the Netherlands. Drawing on both professional experience and lived LGBTIQ+ identity, Brand developed a psychoeducational toolkit to help LGBTIQ+ clients from diverse backgrounds understand and navigate minority stress. Brand brings warmth, expertise, and personal insight to this work. Brand is also part of the TransPride committee of Pride Amsterdam and is the former chair of Transgender Netwerk. He is also connected to the Trans Clinic of TransUnited Europe and Amsterdam Public Health Services as a volunteer therapist.
