About the spreaker
RITA (Report It Always) is an independent reporting platform for discrimination, harassment and unsafe situations affecting LGBTQIA+ communities. Developed in partnership with Discriminatie.nl and community organizations, RITA lowers barriers to reporting by providing an accessible, community-led entry point for both victims and bystanders. (RITA Community) By combining digital reporting with public awareness campaigns and community partnerships, RITA helps make discrimination and unsafe situations more visible while connecting people to appropriate support. During WorldPride Amsterdam 2026, RITA expands this approach through a network of RITA Safer Spaces across the city: physical locations where people can report incidents, access support, or seek a safe place after experiencing an unsafe situation. At the Human Rights Conference, Aynouk Tan and Eward Koning, board members of Stichting RITA Community, will present RITA’s community-led approach to reporting discrimination and strengthening LGBTQIA+ safety, both online and offline.
