About the spreaker
I am the Director and Founder of Alternative Care Services, the UK’s first Social Care provider with an LGBT+ specialism in social care and support.
As a transgender man, I have had first-hand experience of racial and transphobic discrimination within public services and health care, which continues to fuel my work as an Equality and Human Rights advocate.
As a businessman, I have acquired a unique perspective in building a business which, in parallel, also supports the LGBT+ community.
As a social care provider and public speaker, I continue to see the growing disparity in care and support for the LGBT community and disproportionately, for Transgender people and Transgender people of colour.
My vision is to improve the quality of life for people who we support, and to develop quality care, support and social housing pathways for LGBT+ people.
