About the spreaker
Ivan Dimov spent over two decades as an investment banker and VC across New York, Buenos Aires, and Sydney before returning to Bulgaria to build what he couldn't find there: Single Step Foundation, now the country's only comprehensive support ecosystem for LGBTQ+ youth, and The Steps, Europe's largest LGBTQ+ social enterprise. He is also the co-founder of Future Unicorns, a Silicon Valley accelerator for CEE tech startups. He served on the board of ILGA-Europe from 2020 to 2024, giving him a foot in two worlds that rarely talk to each other: capital and the movement. He is a firm believer that a movement without economic power is a movement constantly asking permission.
