About the spreaker
He is a distinguished human rights advocate and development practitioner with over 20 years of experience advancing public health, LGBTI rights, and HIV policy and programming. He currently serves as Team Lead for Key Populations in the International Department at Aidsfonds Netherlands. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Gender Development from the Women’s University in Africa and a Master’s degree in Human Rights, Peace and Development from Africa University. He is also a 2016 alumnus of Columbia University’s Human Rights Advocacy Program**. His contributions to human rights and social justice have been widely recognized, including the Queer Warrior of the Year Award (2022), the African Feather of the Year Award (2023), and his induction into the GBMSM Hall of Fame (2023).
