About the spreaker
I am an Italian/Bristish scholar, working at the intersection of Intersex, Trans*, and Disabled experiences. I am an activist and artist with various organisations, mostly centered around cripqueer mutual aid. I go by he/him or they/them pronouns, and identify as both transmasc and intersex. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at the UvA, and completed my Thesis in the perception of gender non-conformity in visual art. I subsequently had a Research Assistant position working for Eftychia Stamkou on the same project. Concurrently, I completed the Minor in Gender and Sexuality. I just completed a Masters at the UvA, in the Sociology Track for Gender and Sexuality. I completed my thesis, superviserd by Margriet Van Heesch, which was focused on intersectiong theories from Critical Intersex studies, Trans* studies, and Crip studies to talk about conceptualisation of cripqueer de-medicalisation. I utilised co-particpatory research methods to conduct discussion groups and art sessions with cripqueer theorists and organisers in my activist circles.
