About the spreaker
Amber Witsenburg is chairperson for the Netherlands Organisation for Asexuality (NOA), lgbtiqa+ activist and educator, and co-founder of International Asexuality Day. They have been involved in research into the experiences of asexual people in healthcare in the Netherlands, and have (successfully) petitioned politicians to include the rights of asexual people in legislation. Previously, Witsenburg has researched the representation of asexuality in fictional narratives as part of their research master at VU University Amsterdam.
