Jahnell Butler is a public health leader, advocate, and community organizer dedicated to advancing the health, wellness, and visibility of transgender and gender-diverse communities. She serves as Director of Trans Services at the San Francisco Community Health Center, where she oversees innovative programs focused on HIV prevention, behavioral health, community engagement, and health equity.
Beyond her professional work, Jahnell is the Overall Mother of the International Iconic House of Chanel, providing mentorship, leadership, and support to members of the ballroom community worldwide. Her work bridges public health, culture, and advocacy, creating spaces where transgender individuals can thrive, access resources, and experience belonging, hope, and joy.
In recognition of her impact, Jahnell was named a San Francisco Pride Community Grand Marshal in 2025 and continues to be a respected voice in healthcare, community leadership, and transgender advocacy.
