President & Board Chair, Pride LiveCo-Founder, Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center Ann Marie Gothard (she/her), Co-Founder, President, and Board Chair of Pride Live, leads meaningful social advocacy and community initiatives. She works to amplify LGBTQ+ voices, create inclusive environments that honor their history, and inspire future generations. Demonstrating her commitment to protecting and preserving LGBTQ+ heritage, Ann Marie co-founded the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center, the first LGBTQ+ visitor center within the National Park Service. This groundbreaking initiative memorializes the Stonewall Rebellion and stands as an enduring landmark at the site where the fight for LGBTQ+ equality began. Furthermore, Ann Marie was instrumental in establishing Stonewall Day, an annual global day of awareness commemorating the pivotal Stonewall Rebellion and celebrating the resilience of the LGBTQ+ community. Through these significant contributions, she actively fosters greater recognition, understanding, and acceptance. Building on her extensive leadership background and strong dedication to social impact, Ann Marie's commitment to diversity and inclusion extends beyond her key roles with Pride Live and the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center. Her governance positions as Board Chair of the Alliance of Nonprofits for Insurance (ANI) Risk Retention Group, where she leads the Retirement Assets Committee and participates on the Personnel Committee, along with her role as Board Vice Chair for the National Alliance of Nonprofits for Insurance (NANI), highlight her strategic insight and dedication to organizational excellence. Previously, her senior roles in strategic communication at major Fortune 500 companies and prominent nonprofits, combined with work in over 40 countries, give her a deep understanding of how visibility and inclusive practices are vital for the LGBTQ+ community and broader social advocacy.
