About the spreaker
Wim Geerts is the Human Rights Ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. Wim joined the Dutch foreign service in 1988. He has extensive experience working as the Director-General for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador to China, Ambassador to Canada, and Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence. Additionally, he is an Advisory Board Member to the Netherlands’ Commission for UNESCO. Wim holds a Master's degree in English Language and Literature with a focus on Human Rights from Radboud University and has attended Boston College and Dongemond College for additional studies.
