About the spreaker
Julia is a researcher and LGBTQI activist working on civic space, freedom of assembly, and Pride movements across Europe. She leads and coordinates international research projects, including the State of Pride in Europe, documenting the experiences of Pride organisers and trends related to safety, funding, political pressure, and movement resilience. She is a Board member of the European Pride Organisers Association (EPOA), where she contributes to strengthening collaboration between Pride organisations and advancing evidence-based advocacy. Her work focuses on supporting organisers, informing funders and policymakers, and helping build sustainable and resilient LGBTQI movements.The plan is for the work to be presented together with Lars Arnesen, Board member of the European Pride Organisers Association, and if possible joined by Pride organisers who will be in Amsterdam for the Conference.
