Description
An estimated 1.7% of the world — 140 million people — are intersex, yet remain largely invisible within LGBTIQ+ spaces and society-at-large.
How much stronger would the LGBTQI+ movement be if intersex people were actively included in global advocacy. What barriers do intersex communities experience within their own community, and from the rainbow community at large? This session explores the lived experiences involving stigma and trauma, the movement funding gaps, recent progress and ongoing challenges to participate. The audience will be actively engaged to discuss strategies for meaningful, structural intersex inclusion across the full LGBTIQ+ movement.
