Obioma Chukwuike (they/them) is an intersex human rights advocate, scholar, and movement leader from Nigeria. They are the Founder and Executive Director of Intersex Nigeria and currently serve as Board Chair of the African Intersex Movement (AIM). Obioma also serves on the board of ILGA World as Chair of the Intersex Steering Committee. They hold a Master’s degree in Environmental Conservation. They are alumni of the OutRight International UN Rights and Religion Fellowship and the International Service for Human Rights’ Human Rights Defenders Advocacy Programme. Their work focuses on intersex-inclusive healthcare systems, access to justice, and decolonizing intersex narratives in Africa.
