A: All scholarship applicants and recipients have been notified.
Q: How many people applied for a scholarship and how many were approved?
A: The scholarship committee received almost 600 applications for financial support and were able to select approximately 150 of those who are granted a scholarship.
Q: Which factors have influenced the decision which activists receive a scholarship?
A: The scholarship committee (among other factors) looked at regional spread, type of organization that the scholar represents and its grassroots following.
Q: Are conference session proposals affected by the scholarship outcome?
A: The selection of scholarship recipients and conference proposals were two separate processes. If a scholarship application was denied, there was still a possibility for someone to get a scholarship if their abstract was accepted.
Q: How was the scoring of the conference session proposals organized?
A: All abstracts have been reviewed by members of our Advisory Board and International Sounding Board.
Q: How many proposals were submitted and how many are accepted?
A: Close to 400 proposals were submitted out of which approximately one-fourth is granted a place in the conference program.
Q: When will I know if my conference proposal/abstract has been accepted?
A: All proposal contributors have been notified if and how their abstract will be included in the conference program.
Q: When will the conference program be published?
A: During the month of June the conference program will be published on the website and will be updated from thereon.
